Environmental pollutants and epigenetics

Environmental exposures are associated with the development of many non-communicable diseases, and the study of epigenetics has helped to elucidate the biological mechanisms behind these associations. Here, I will describe the effects of environmental pollutants upon the epigenome in relation to human disease.
