A collaborative project between the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT, USA), Duke University (Durham, NC, USA) and Washington University in St. Louis (St. Louis, MO, USA) has potentially discovered a way to prevent chronic pain by using CRISPR to alter the epigenome.
