Ensembl annotates non-coding regions of vertebrate genomes by collecting large numbers of public epigenomic and cis-regulatory experiments produced by large international consortia. The Ensembl automated systems centralise, process then summarise these datasets. All results are available through Ensembl’s browser and its array of data webservices.
